Freebase is a social database of things you know and love. Our almost 5 million topics range from TV and music to business and finance. You can create a "base" within Freebase showcasing your favourite subject, and this event will show you how.
We'd like to invite you to join us at Freebase HQ on Saturday February 28th for our first ever "Build a Base" event. This will be a small group workshop environment, with an overview of what bases are and how to build them, followed by an intensive hands-on session where Freebase staff will help you build a base and answer any questions you might have.
Numbers for this event are tightly capped, so please register ASAP!
Preparation:
You will need to bring your own laptop. We will provide wireless and/or wired Internet access. To get the most benefit from this event, you should be prepared to do approximately 1 hour of "homework" beforehand (we'll send you details about this by email -- it will simply involve some online research and thinking about what base you'd like to build.)
